| FAQ | Is the RMV Library entirely new ? | | The RMV library contains almost all kits of RM IV. Of course there are also many new kits (alltogether around 1500 new sounds), its a bit hard to exactly say how much new content is there, because over the 5 years that RM IV was sold the content changed a lot. This is even more true for the MIDI content. The loops library is new in RMV (a small part of it has been released before as sample CD “135 degrees”). | Will my songs made with RM IV now work with RMV without problems ? | | Generally the RMV is much different in many aspects, so the recommended procedure is to use RMV for new songs and have RM IV installed for older songs. You can run RM IV and RMV next to each other. To replace a RM IV in a song with a RMV it is recommended to save the kit from RMIV, replace RM IV with RMV and load the previously saved kit in RMV. The automation of RM IV is not understood by RMV, so any automation would be lost when a RMIV is replaced by RMV in a song (except if its made with ECS / MIDI CC’s and RMV is set up for the same CC’s). |
